I love designing websites!
It was always a goal of mine to be able to work at home doing something that I love to do. In 2002 I started a computer support business in downtown Redwood Falls. I started designing a few websites at that time and really loved doing it. I liked doing computer repair, but I did not love doing it. It became a passion for me to create website designs for businesses in the area.
To make a long story short, after starting my business I was offered a job at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel. For five years I worked full time at Jackpot in the Marketing Department and worked on websites for businesses and organizations in my free time. In 2008 I decided to advance my business and focus on web designs for clients, working out of my home. I took a part time position at Bennett Office Technologies as the Marketing Director where I continue to work. I love the variety and it’s a great company to work for. It also gives me much more time to work on websites for my clients with Redwood Valley Technical Solutions.
I’ve taken on web projects large and small and really enjoy working with the business people and organizations I get the opportunity to work with. I am able to provide a web site that offers them a unique design presence on the web, search engine optimization to help get them to the top of search engines, website analytics for tracking, online marketing packages, social media marketing, email marketing and much more. I work for some clients updating their websites on a regular basis, and some when updates are needed. I also have clients who I have shown how to do the website updates on their own.
I started designing websites using Photoshop and HTML tables. Of course the web and technology is always changing and HTML and table design is beginning to go to the wayside. Because of this I started designing on the WordPress platform in November 2009. I started designing with a WordPress platform for several reasons but mostly because it is a great platform that search engines read exceptionally well. I also have a passion for Social Media and Blogging for Business. I spend much time on keeping up with Social Media Marketing, helping my clients get started and devising plans for their Social Media Marketing, and giving presentations on how to use Social Media and Blogging for business.
I live in my hometown of Redwood Falls, MN calling my living room, kitchen and four seasons room my office. I stay on top of the web design and social media technology world by going to seminars and attending classes and webinars online. I am married to Jesse and have a new baby girl, Eva.
